LORD, lead me in the way that I should go and guide me.

Heavenly Father, by Your word of grace and Your Holy Spirit of truth, open my mind and my heart into a deeper understanding and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour... Jesus Christ.

all that trust in His saving power.

The True Cross Relic of our Savior Jesus Christ is the greatest and most precious of all relics. It is only to the True Cross, from among all other relics, that the Christian faithful are instructed to 'Genuflect'.

Every other image and relic (whether of our Lord or of any of the saints) is venerated by a bow, but the relic of the True Cross is adored and worshiped with a 'Genuflection' and a kiss.

The Cross as the image of Christ:

The Cross deserves special veneration and worship on account

of the fact that it is uniquely an image of Christ. Indeed,

even more than images made after the proper proportions of his natural body – i.e. paintings, icons, and sculptures made after the physical likeness of Christ - the Cross is the image of our Savior.

More even than the image of The Divine Mercy.

The True Cross represents Christ as his perfect icon.

The Cross was most highly and perfectly united to the Person of Jesus in the plan of salvation – for it was through the wood of the Cross

that our Savior redeemed us. Moreover, this wood has been

saturated with the most precious and holy Blood of our Lord.

This same wood has borne the limbs of Christ and

was sanctified by contact with his Precious Body.

The Cross deserves special veneration and worship

as having been uniquely united to Christ Jesus

in bringing about the salvation of the whole world.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As Mary stood at the foot of the cross of Her beloved Son giving Him courage with Her loving presence so She is near you in your needs, struggles, and sufferings.

Our Lady’s role as a mother is to help us to live all things in relationship with God, reminding us that all will be well, it is never an event in itself, but the fact that God is at work that makes a circumstance turn out for the good. God Himself does not change or undo the nature of a struggle or of a difficulty.

However, He can work with us, changing the meaning of that event

to our total life, working out His will in the circumstance.

It is so important to remember that we are in this life and in this world as

pilgrims on our way home. It is this sense of destiny that we find light

as we seek the meaning of all that life presents to us;

just think every event, every encounter, every situation is meant

to be lived in relationship with God and is to be an occasion to

form us into loving people.

After all it is on love that we will be judged at the end of our lives here on earth and our quality of love will determine the measure of our eternal delight for

GOD IS LOVE <press

and only hearts full of love will find in Him eternal happiness.

We pray that love always triumphs in you.

We can find in Our Lady of Fatima’s appeal a way of living out, in our daily lives, in love. She asked prayers and sacrifices for the conversion of sinners.

Sacrifices are the offering of our daily fatigue, our duties, our relationships,

our trials, our success and failure, our joys and sorrows,

anything and everything can be a “sacrifice” all

we need to do is “offer” it to God who then transforms these things,

making them holy and giving them supernatural value.

They actually become an expression of love.

In fact Our Lady said, “Every time you made a sacrifice (offer something) say,

“Oh Jesus this is for love of you, for the conversion of sinners

and in reparation for the sins committed against

the Immaculate heart of Mary”.

May this encourage you to respond to our Lady's call.

O' God, my Heavenly King,

please fill me with Your Love. Help me to share the Gift of Love

with all those in need of Your Mercy. Help me to love You more.

be used to engulf the hearts of everyone I come into contact with.

The reliquary measures 2" in height:

the True Cross is the name for those physical remnants and the subject of those literary records which, by a widely accepted Christian tradition, are believed to be those of the Cross upon which, according to the Gospel writers, Jesus was crucified. According to a number of early writers, the Empress Helen , (c.255-c.330 AD), mother of Constantine , the first Christian emperor of Rome, at a date after 312 AD when Christianity was legalized throughout the Empire, traveled to the Holy Land, founding churches and establishing relief agencies for the poor. It was at this time that she discovered the hiding place of three crosses used at the crucifixion of Jesus and the two thieves that were executed with him. By a miracle it was revealed which of the three was the True Cross. This article details the records, the legends and the traditions associated with the True Cross. This is commemorated by the Church on March 6 . Many churches now possess fragmentary remains which are by tradition claimed to be those of the True Cross. Their authenticity is not universally accepted by those of the Christian faith. The veracity of the reports surrounding the discovery of the True Cross is questioned by many Christians. The acceptance and belief of that part of the tradition that pertains to the Early Christian Church is generally accepted by the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches. < press links

Heavenly Father,

Thou hast given us the gift of freedom

to love and to follow in Thy ways and commands.

Some parents, and I choose to abuse this freedom

by destroying the gift of life

which Thou hast given to our offspring.

Please forgive us who destroy human life

by aborting our unborn babies.

Give these unborn children the opportunity

to enjoy Thee for all eternity,

if it according to Thy ordinance.

Assist me in being one in solidarity with Thy little ones

by taking to heart the words of Thy Son,

"Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of Mine,

you did for Me." (Mt. 25:40)

Therefore, allow me today, Father God,

to adopt spiritually an unborn child*

and to offer my prayers, works,

joys and sufferings for that little one,

so that child will be able to be born and live

O' God of Israel,

You said that when two or

three would gather together

in Your name, then You would

be present with us.

but I am uniting myself with many individual Christians throughout the world. who, though separate, we are gathered together in "Spirit" to pray to You,

and we trust O' lord Jesus,

that You are with us right now. And with your blessings

O' Lord, I place myself in Your presence, to offer a few moments of reflection, of prayer,

of thanksgiving, of worship and

of praise to You; God of Host. And I confess to You Almighty God, (and to you, my brothers and sisters) that I have sinned again through my own fault,

O' Jesus Christ. eternal sweetness to those who love Thee, joy surpassing all joy and all desire, salvation and hope of all us poor sinners, You who hast proved that Thou hast no greater desire than to be among us men, even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of us men, recall all the sufferings Thou hast endured from the instant of Thy conception, and especially during Thy Passion, as it was decreed and ordained from all eternity in the Divine plan. Remember,

O' Lord, that during the Last Supper with Thy disciples, having washed their feet, Thou gavest them Thy Most Precious Body and Blood, and while at the same time Thou didst sweetly console them, Thou didst foretold to them Thy coming Passion. Remember the sadness and bitterness which Thou didst experience in Thy Soul as Thou Thyself bore witness saying:

"My soul is sorrowful,

even unto death"

Remember all the fear, anguish and pain that Thou didst suffer in Thy delicate body before the torment of Thy crucifixion, when, after having prayed three separate times, bathed in a sweat of blood, Thou wast betrayed by Judas, Thy disciple, arrested by the people of a nation, that Thou hadst chosen and elevated, accused by false witnesses, unjustly judged by three judges, during the flower of Thy youth and during the solemn Paschal season. Remember, loving Jesus, that Thou wast despoiled of Thy garments and clothed in those of derision; that Thy face and eyes were veiled, that Thou was buffeted, crowned with thorns, a reed placed in Thy hands, that Thou was crushed with blows and overwhelmed with affronts and outrages. In memory of all these pain and sufferings which Thou didst endure (by our sins) before Thy passion on the life giving cross, grant me (if it be Your will) before my death, a true contrition, a sincere and entire confession made worthy satisfaction and the remission

of all my awful sins.

Second Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, true liberty of angels, paradise of delights, remember all the horror and sadness which Thou didst endure (for us) when Thy enemies, like furious lions, surrounded Thee, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows, lacerations and other unheard-of-cruelties, tormented Thee at will. In consideration of these torments and insulting words, I beseech Thee, O' my loving Savior; to deliver me from all my enemies, both visible and invisible, and to bring me,

under Thy protection with Thy precious blood... to the perfection of eternal salvation.

I ask this in Your name,

Third Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, creator of heaven and earth whom nothing can encompass or limit, Thou who dost enfold and holds all under Thy loving power, remember the very bitter pain Thou didst suffer when the Romans (and us sinners) nailed Thy sacred hands and feet to the cross, by blow after blow with big blunt nails, and not finding Thee in a pitiable enough state to satisfy their (our) rage, we enlarged Thy wounds (through our sins) and added pain to pain, and with indescribable cruelty we stretched Thy body on the cross, pulled Thee from all sides, thus dislocating Thy limbs. I beg of Thee, O' my loving Jesus, by the memory of this most holy and most loving suffering of the cross, to grant me the grace to fear Thee and to love Thee forever!

I ask this in Your name,

- Jesus. Amen. †

Fourth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, heavenly physician, raised aloft on the cross in order that through Thy wounds, ours might be healed, remember the bruises which Thou didst suffer and the weakness of all Thy members which were distended to such a degree that never was there pain like unto Thine. From the crown of Thy head to the soles of Thy feet, there was not one spot on Thy body that was not in torment, and yet, forgetting all Thy sufferings, Thou didst not cease to pray to Thy Heavenly Father for Thy enemies (and us sinners), saying:

"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do"

through this great mercy, and in memory of this loving suffering. Grant that the remembrance of Thy most bitter passion may effect in us a perfect contrition and the remission of all our miserable sins.

I ask this in Your name,

Fifth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, mirror of eternal splendor, remember the sadness which Thou experienced, when contemplating in the light of Thy divinity, the predestination of those (of us) who would be saved by the merits of Thy sacred passion, Thou didst see at the same time, the great multitude of reprobates who would be damned for their sins, and Thou didst complain bitterly of those hopeless, lost and unfortunate sinners. Through the abyss of compassion and pity, and especially through the goodness which Thou displayed to the good thief when Thou said'st to him:

"this day (I say), thou shalt be

with Me in paradise"

I beg of Thee, O' sweet loving Jesus, that at the hour of my death, Thou wilt also

show unto me mercy.

I ask this in Your name,

Sixth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, beloved and most desirable King, remember all the grief Thou didst suffer, when naked and like a common criminal, Thou was fastened and raised on the cross, when all Thy relatives and friends abandoned Thee, except Thy beloved mother, who remained close to Thee during Thy agony and whom Thou didst entrust to Thy faithful disciple when Thou said'st to Mary; Thy mother;

"Woman, behold thy son(s) [the believers]"

and to John [and to us]

"Son(s), behold thy Mother [Mary]"

I beg of Thee O' my Savior, by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Thy holy mother; Mary, to have compassion on me in all my afflictions and tribulations, both corporal and spiritual, and to assist me in all my trials, and especially at the hour of my death.

I ask this in Your name,

Seventh Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, inexhaustible fountain of compassion, who by a profound gesture of love, said from the cross:

"I thirst"

and who suffered from the thirst for the salvation of the human race. I beg of Thee

O' my Savior, to inflame in our hearts the desire to tend toward perfection in all our acts; and to extinguish in us the concupiscence of the flesh and the ardor of worldly desires.

I ask this in Your name,

Eighth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, sweetness of hearts, delight of the spirit,

by the bitterness of the vinegar and gall which Thou didst taste on the cross for love of us,

grant us the grace to receive worthily Thy precious body

and blood during our life and

at the hour of our death, that they may serve as a remedy of consolation for our souls.

I ask this in Your name,

Ninth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus! royal virtue, joy of the mind, recall the pain Thou didst endure when plunged in an ocean of bitterness at the approach of death, insulted, and outraged by the Jews, Thou didst cry out in a loud voice that Thou was abandoned by Thy Father, saying:

"My God, My God,

why hast Thou forsaken Me?"

Through this anguish,

I beg of Thee, O' my Savior,

not to abandon me in the

terrors and pains of my death.

Tenth Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, who art the beginning and end of all things, life and virtue, remember that for our sake Thou was plunged in an abyss of suffering from the soles of Thy feet to the crown of Thy head. In consideration of the enormity of Thy wounds, teach me to keep, through pure love, Thy commandments,

whose way is wide and easy for those who love Thee.

I ask this in Your name,

Eleventh Prayer;

Our Father; Hail Mary;

O' Jesus, deep abyss of mercy,

I beg of Thee, in memory of Thy wounds which penetrated to the very marrow of Thy bones and to the depth of Thy being, to draw me, a miserable sinner, overwhelmed by my offenses, away from sin and to hide

me from Thy face justly

irritated against me, hide me

in Thy wounds, until Thy

anger and just indignation

shall have passed away.

O' Jesus, mirror of truth, symbol of unity, line of charity, remember the multitude of wounds with which Thou was covered from head to foot, torn and reddened by the spilling of Thy adorable blood.
